the LMCC Staff
Whether that’s growing deeper in the Word or simply finding a classroom, we’d love to chat with you.
This is Pastor Jay’s second tour of duty with LMCC. Called as the Senior Minister in 2011, Pastor Jay has come full-circle back to where he and his family have regarded as their home church no matter where else they were serving. After all, this is the church where he had the honor of baptizing his daughter in 1991. From 1988-93 Pastor Jay served as the Associate Minister and Minister of Music/Worship Leader. Pastor Jay is a graduate of Hope International University in Fullerton with a degree in Church Growth – Preaching. He also owns a boutique payroll and benefits administration company specializing in blue-collar companies. As for family, he has been married to Karen since 1979 and together they have a grown daughter and son-in-law, two rambunctious dogs (Walter and Bella), and a horse named Lena. A San Diego native, he roots for the Padres, the Chargers, and the LA Clippers (He likes a good underdog!), and has a lifelong love affair with bowling.

Since 1988, she has been an educator in the community teaching elementary-high school and directing summer day camps for kids, and is active in educating in the homeschool community. Jennifer speaks nationally at women’s events, churches, and retreats bringing a message of hope and healing and pointing women to Jesus as their Savior. As the teaching pastor for the women of LMCC, Jennifer’s motto is “have fun – learn a ton!” Her heart is that women would be firm in their Christian faith by having a passion to be with the Lord through prayer and Bible study. Her leadership at LMCC is providing more ways for women to connect and support one another through all stages of life. Jennifer and her husband Glen have been married since 1988 and are the proud parents of their grown son, Jonathan. They’re enjoying this empty nest season and love their ministry at La Mirada. She blogs at www.jennifergrichmond.com and has a daily podcast at DwellingRichly.podbean.com
pastor of worship & community
An experienced worship pastor and ensemble leader, Jess joined our staff in 2017. Having grown up in the LMCC children’s ministry in the 90s, Jess went on to earn a degree in Music and Worship Arts from Hope International University. After more than a decade in the ministry, God called her home to LMCC, where she is putting her love of the creative arts to good use. Jess’ training in classical and contemporary voice and piano combine with her relational approach to ministry to invite people into honest worship. While she has a passion for multi-generational worship, back-to-basics Bible teaching, speaking, and technology, her greatest joy (other than Jesus) is being wife to her husband, John. When she’s not juggling a million things, you’ll find her spending time in the kitchen (#PerryCulinaryMasterpiece). She is resigned to the fate of her beloved San Diego Padres and has a deep, abiding love for coffee.

He comes to us a graduate of Christian Leaders Institute and with great enthusiasm and love for the Lord. Allan takes that passion and pours it into Singles to help them grow in their understanding and love for Jesus. His mission for the Singles Ministry is “to build spiritually healthy single adults by discipling and equipping them to serve the Lord.” Allan does not do this ministry alone, Paisha, his wife of 9 years comes alongside of him to help minister to the single women.
